Faithfully Lupe

To the right were a couple of construction workers. To my left, people passing by genuinely smiling & saying good morning. Up ahead were the green trees and an endless, open trail. Behind me…..all of my excuses.

I had ventured out on a morning jog to the park and felt liberated.

I finally made a right turn and saw a new trail that I had never taken but led to a beautiful open field. I was hesitant, the thought of snakes and lizards intimidated me a bit. But I went ahead anyway.

I walked the trail, I didn’t want to make too much noise and make the snakes curious. Joking. I really wanted to take in being outside and enjoy every bit & not think of being out of breath.

I felt so alive as I looked up at the sky & felt the sun beaming off my skin, the soft wind blowing in my hair, and the smell of being outdoors. How I wished someone was next to me experiencing this beautiful moment.

Suddenly, I felt Him next to me. He walked on my right side. I had my headphones in so I couldn’t hear what He had said to me.

But I didn’t need to. I smiled and giggled a bit, and blushed. I knew He was saying He loved me and that He was always by my side.

A simple Friday morning complete by a beautiful, magical moment with Jesus.

Oh, how He loves me.
